CD Customer Layout Groups

CD Customer Layout Groups allow you to group several customers together so that a single Corporate Design Custom Specific Setup can be applied to all customers in the group. This avoids the need to create and maintain an identical setup for every customer individually.

Each customer can be assigned to exactly one CD Customer Layout Group via the field CD Customer Layout Group on the Customer Card. When a Corporate Design Custom Specific Setup is created for a group, the setup is used for every customer that is assigned to that group.

Note

For the same CD Report ID, it is not possible to have a custom specific setup both for a CD Customer Layout Group and for a customer that is assigned to this group. The system checks for such conflicts when a setup is created and when a customer is assigned to a group.

Code

The unique identifier of the CD Customer Layout Group.

Description

A descriptive text for the CD Customer Layout Group.

No. of Customers

Shows the number of customers that are currently assigned to this CD Customer Layout Group. The value is calculated automatically based on the field CD Customer Layout Group on the Customer Card.

Create a CD Customer Layout Group

  1. Use the search to open the page CD Customer Layout Groups.
  2. Choose the action New.
  3. Enter a Code and a Description.
  4. Open the Customer Card of every customer that should belong to the group and select the Code in the field CD Customer Layout Group.
  5. Create a Corporate Design Custom Specific Setup with the Type CD Customer Layout Group and select the Code in the field No..
