CD Vendor Layout Groups

CD Vendor Layout Groups allow you to group several vendors together so that a single Corporate Design Custom Specific Setup can be applied to all vendors in the group. This avoids the need to create and maintain an identical setup for every vendor individually.

Each vendor can be assigned to exactly one CD Vendor Layout Group via the field CD Vendor Layout Group on the Vendor Card. When a Corporate Design Custom Specific Setup is created for a group, the setup is used for every vendor that is assigned to that group.

Note

For the same CD Report ID, it is not possible to have a custom specific setup both for a CD Vendor Layout Group and for a vendor that is assigned to this group. The system checks for such conflicts when a setup is created and when a vendor is assigned to a group.

Code

The unique identifier of the CD Vendor Layout Group.

Description

A descriptive text for the CD Vendor Layout Group.

No. of Vendors

Shows the number of vendors that are currently assigned to this CD Vendor Layout Group. The value is calculated automatically based on the field CD Vendor Layout Group on the Vendor Card.

Create a CD Vendor Layout Group

1. Use the search to open the page CD Vendor Layout Groups.
2. Choose the action New.
3. Enter a Code and a Description.
4. Open the Vendor Card of every vendor that should belong to the group and select the Code in the field CD Vendor Layout Group.
