Inspection Method
Inspection methods are understood to be a guideline or specification that must be applied in an inspection. These guidlines can be legal, contractual or internal specifications.

You can create a new inspection method card using the action New. In the No. field, you can assign a new number from the number series or enter it manually. You can then define a corresponding Description and, if necessary, a Description 2. The other fields are optional. For example, if you want to set a time limit for an inspection method, you can use the Starting Date and Ending Date fields.
To use a inspection method in quality control, you must set the Status to Certified.
The following actions are also available:
- You can define Comments and Translations for the inspection method.
- Using the action Usage, you can display an overview of where the inspection method is used.
The inspection method is used in combination with an inspection feature in Feature / Inspection Method Setup. Here you can create setups for sample drawing and inspection costs in combination with an inspection method and inspection feature and then enter them in an inspection plan to simplify data maintenance.
