To create inspection orders automatically, use the Automatic Inspection Order Creation.
Short explanation based on the illustration and the Post purchase receipt action type:
In this example, two lines are defined for the action type: In general, an automatic inspection order should be created. These will be created for all items with the Status Created, except for a specific item. Here, an inspection order with Status Released will be created directly.
You can choose between the following actions using the Action Type field:
- Assign Item Tracking (Purchase Order/Whse. Receipt)
- Post Purchase Receipt
- Post Whse. Receipt (Purchase Order)

If you want the automatic inspection order creation to apply to all articles in the system for the selected action type, you can leave the field Type and the associated Item No./QA Item Group Code field blank. If you only want to receive an automatically generated inspection order for certain items or item groups, then the specifications are defined via these two fields. The same applies to the fields Business Relation Type and Business Relation No./Code.
Depending on the activation of the field Release on Creation you can create the inspection order with either the status Created or Released.
