Update recipes
If a change has been made to features in a recipe (semi-finished product), you can use the Development recipe update to update the corresponding certified recipes that contain this recipe as a component.
Update all recipes via batch processing
The updating of recipes, which is necessary due to a change in item features or recipes of intermediate products, is always carried out using the complete recipe structure from bottom to top. This ensures that all recipes affected by the change are updated.
Note
Only certified formulations are updated.

Via Update the recipes to be updated are displayed. You see the numbers and versions of the development recipes that are to be updated. In addition, the item/component responsible for the update is displayed.
By calling Process, the displayed recipes are processed according to the settings in the R+D setup, i.e. the recipes are updated. In the R+D setup, you can determine how to proceed with the currently valid (certified) recipe version.
| Field in the R+D setup | Description |
|---|---|
| Create New version on update | If a check mark is set here, the currently certified recipe version is not changed and a new version is created in which the changes are carried out. |
| Close old Development Recipe | If a check mark is set here, the existing certified versions are automatically set to expired when the new recipe version is certified. |
| Recertify on Recipe Update/Creation | In addition, you can specify here whether the modified or newly created recipe version should be set to "certified" again. |
Update individual recipes
In addition to the functionality described above with which all changes in all recipes are updated in one run, it is also possible to update the changes to underlying features in a recipe before certifying an individual recipe.
When certifying the recipe, the system checks whether all the items used are up-to-date with regard to the item features and the underlying recipes. If this is not the case, an error message is displayed when certification is attempted: "Recipe update required before certification". The recipe can only be certified after the action Refresh recipe lines has been executed for this recipe.
