Barcode Parameters

The Barcode Parameters page allows you to configure the physical appearance of GS1 barcodes printed on labels. This setup is only relevant when the The Feature changed the barcodes from the legacy format to a GS1 Barcode. feature is active in the Yaveon Feature Management.

For each combination of report, layout, and barcode code, you can define individual parameters such as resolution, module width, height, and width. These settings directly control how the barcode is rendered on the label.

Default Values

Default entries are created automatically during installation or upgrade. You can also initialize missing entries manually by using the Init Barcode Parameters action on the Barcode Parameters page. This action only adds entries that do not yet exist — existing entries are never overwritten.

Fields

Field	Description
Report ID	The report for which this barcode configuration applies.
Report Layout Name	The specific layout within the report. Leave blank to apply the configuration to all layouts of the selected report.
Barcode Code	An internal code that identifies which barcode within the layout these parameters apply to (e.g., PRODUCT or LOADCARRIER).
Description	A free-text description of this barcode parameter entry.
DPI	The resolution of the barcode in dots per inch. Higher values produce sharper barcodes on high-resolution printers.
Module Width	The width of the narrowest bar in the barcode, measured in pixels. Increasing this value makes the barcode wider and easier to scan.
Height	The height of the barcode in pixels.
Width	The total width of the barcode in pixels.
Barcode Alignment	The alignment of the barcode within the available space on the label. Options are Left, Center, and Right.

Note

Changes to barcode parameters take effect immediately for the next print run. No restart or data update is required.
