Delivery rating via quality control (quality codes)
The quality codes form the link between quality control and delivery rating. If quality is used as an automatic criterion for quality inspection in vendor rating, a link can be created using the Quality Code field on the inspection feature. The quality of the inspected goods will then have an effect on the vendor rating.
Note
The quality can only be evaluated in vendor rating.
Create and assign quality codes
In the Quality Codes table, you can create a new code using the New action. You can then fill the fields Within Control Limits Points, Out of Control Limits Points, Out of Limits Points, and Weighting to create a rating system.

The quality codes can be stored at the inspection feature. The assigned quality code is automatically copied when you create an inspection plan and can be changed there again. If you do not store a quality code for an inspection feature, you can also assign it manually in the inspection plan.
Note
For Inspection Features with options, reaching the target value in an inspection is evaluated with the score of the setup Within Control Limits Points. If the target value is not reached, the setup Out of Limits Points is used.
Calculation of the quality points
When an inspection order is completed, the system determines the quality points that are to be assigned per feature according to the quality code and displays the result for each completed inspection order in the inspection order header, in the field Quality Points. You can then include this value in the calculation of the vendor rating.
Note
Please note that if you want to inspect goods ordered, you must have already created a corresponding inspection order before booking the delivery. If the delivery has already been posted, no inspection order can be assigned afterwards.
Calculation example
In the inspection plan, the following assignment of quality codes to the inspection characteristics was carried out.

Then a purchase order was created and the actual values were recorded in the corresponding inspection order and then the inspection order was finished. The following result was determined/calculated based on the actual values, the limit values and the quality codes
| Feature | Within action control limits | Within tolerance limits | Quality code | Weighting | Points | Evaluation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| feature 3 | yes | yes | Q1 | 10 | 100 | 1000 |
| Feature 4 | yes | yes | Q2 | 6 | 100 | 600 |
| feature 5 | yes | yes | Q1 | 10 | 100 | 1000 |
| Feature 6 | no | yes | Q2 | 6 | 5 | 30 |
This results in a total score of 2630, which is then divided by the weighting = 32 to give the quality points of 82.1875 (rounded 82.19).

This value can now be used for the vendor rating.
