    HazMat Regions

The HazMat Regions represent a link between the Country/Region Code and the Language Code. In addition, the HazMat Regions are used to create the link to the regions of the external Hazardous Substance Management system. HazMat Region

Importance for the retrieval and management of information

The HazMat Regions serve the purpose of storing information from the external Hazardous Substance Management system. For example, it is possible to store the HazMat Feature Values for each HazMat Region for a HazMat Material. If the HazMat Feature Values are retrieved for a HazMat Material, the region code is replaced by the HazMat Language Code for interface communication.

Importance for the delivery of dangerous goods

If a shipment is posted that contains an item that has a HazMat Item Material Link, the system searches for a matching HazMat Region using the combination of Language Code and Country/Region Code of the ship-to Customer to create the HazMat Shipment Entries. If a relevant entry is found, the HazMat Feature Values with the matching HazMat Region are used to create the HazMat Transport Lines.

If several HazMat Regions have the same HazMat Feature Values, you can use the Region Code Transport field to specify which region code is used to create the HazMat Transport Lines. This helps to prevent multiple storage of identical contents.

If no HazMat Region is defined for the combination of Language Code and Country/Region Code, the region is taken from the Default Region Code field of the table Yaveon 365 HazMat Connect Setup.
