    Sales Price Unit of Measure

The Pricing Unit of Measure function allows the user to specify the price in an Item Unit of Measure, which is different from the Sales Unit of Measure in the sales document.

For this purpose, the YAVEON 365 Sales Price table has been extended to include the fields:

    • Pricing Unit of Measure
    • Qty. per Pricing Unit of Measure
    • Unit Price (Pricing Unit)

The Pricing Unit of Measure can only be filled with an existing Item Unit of Measure. If the Pricing Unit of Measure is selected, the Qty. per Pricing Unit of Measure field will be filled with the Qty. per Unit of Measure from the Item Unit of Measure table. The lines of the sales documents, e.g. sales quotes, sales order, sales invoice, etc. have also been extended with these fields. The Price Calculation Method YAVEON 365 Hierarchical Pricing* has been extended so when the price is determined in the sales document, the price unit fields from the YAVEON 365 Sales Price Table are populated. However, the Pricing Unit of Measure can also be filled and edited manually.

The conversion from Unit price to Unit Price (Pricing Unit) is done using the Qty. per Pricing Unit of Measure and vice versa.

    Note

Please note that the YAVEON 365 Sales Price table was extended, NOT the BC Standard table Sales Price List.

In the Corporate Design setup tables, there is an option Replace Unit Price with Unit Price in Pricing Unit. If this option is active, then when the Unit Price Excl. VAT field is printed, the value is replaced by the value from the Unit Price (Pricing Unit) field. Furthermore, in this case, the sentence The Price refers to 0.125 canisters will be printed as a line extension. Here, canister represents the description of the sales unit from the sales line. The 0.125 is calculated from the Sales Unit of Measure converted to the Pricing Unit of Measure (if necessary via the base unit). The text is created in the CD Labels table, and can be customized there.

    Purchase Unit of Measure

The Purch. Pricing Unit of Measure function allows the user to specify the unit cost in an Item Unit of Measure, which is different from the Purchase Unit of Measure in the purchase document.

For this purpose, the Purchase Price List table has been extended to include the fields:

    • Purch. Pricing Unit of Measure
    • Purch. Qty. per Pricing Unit of Measure
    • Direct Unit Cost (Pricing Unit)

The Purch. Pricing Unit of Measure can only be filled with an existing Item Unit of Measure. If the Purch. Pricing Unit of Measure is selected, the Purch. Qty. per Pricing Unit of Measure field will be filled with the Qty. per Unit of Measure from the Item Unit of Measure table. The lines of the purchase documents, e.g. purchase quotes, purchase order, purchase invoice, etc. have also been extended with these fields. The Purch. Pricing Unit of Measure can also be filled and edited manually.

The conversion from Direct Unit Cost to Direct Unit Cost (Pricing Unit) is done using the Purch. Qty. per Pricing Unit of Measure and vice versa.

    Note

Please note that the BC Standard table Purchase Price List was extended, because there is no specific purchase price table in the Yaveon 365 Trade App.

In the Corporate Design setup tables, there is an option Replace Direct Unit Cost with Direct Unit Cost (Pricing Unit). If this option is active, then when the Direct Unit Cost field is printed, the value is replaced by the value from the Direct Unit Cost (Pricing Unit) field. Furthermore, in this case, the sentence The Unit Cost refers to 0.125 canisters will be printed as a line extension. Here, canister represents the description of the Purch. Pricing Unit of Measur from the purchase line. The 0.125 is calculated from the Purchase Unit of Measure converted to the Purch. Pricing Unit of Measure (if necessary via the base unit). The text is created in the CD Labels table, and can be customized there.

Pricing Unit of Measure on the Requisition Worksheet

The Requisition Worksheet lines include the following fields for pricing unit support:

    • Pricing Unit of Measure Code — specifies the unit of measure in which the purchase price is defined. The field can only be filled with an existing item unit of measure.
    • Qty. per Pricing Unit of Measure — specifies the quantity of the base unit of measure that corresponds to one pricing unit. This field is read-only and is filled automatically when a pricing unit is selected.
    • Direct Unit Cost (Pricing Unit) — shows the purchase price expressed in the pricing unit. The field is editable: changing it recalculates the Direct Unit Cost, and vice versa.

When the Calculate Planning batch processing resolves a purchase price for a requisition line, all three fields are automatically pre-populated from the matching Purchase Price List line.

When the Carry Out Action Message batch processing converts a requisition line into a purchase order, all three fields are transferred to the generated purchase order line.

    Note

If a price field on the requisition line is changed, this change is not transferred to the purchase order line. This is current Business Central standard behavior.

Pricing Unit of Measure on the Planning Worksheet

The Planning Worksheet lines include the same fields for pricing unit support as the Requisition Worksheet:

    • Pricing Unit of Measure Code — specifies the unit of measure in which the purchase price is defined. The field can only be filled with an existing item unit of measure.
    • Qty. per Pricing Unit of Measure — specifies the quantity of the base unit of measure that corresponds to one pricing unit. This field is read-only and is filled automatically when a pricing unit is selected.
    • Direct Unit Cost (Pricing Unit) — shows the purchase price expressed in the pricing unit. The field is editable: changing it recalculates the Direct Unit Cost, and vice versa.

When the Calculate Plan batch processing resolves a purchase price for a planning line, all three fields are automatically pre-populated from the matching Purchase Price List line.

When the Carry Out Action Message batch processing converts a planning line into a purchase order, all three fields are transferred to the generated purchase order line.

    Note

If a price field on the planning line is changed, this change is not transferred to the purchase order line. This is current Business Central standard behavior.
