    Extension item master data

To simplify the control of processes in logistics, the item master data has been supplemented by the register Yaveon 365 Warehouse Management.

Item card - register Yaveon 365 Warehouse

In the field Load Carrier Type Code, you can define the load carrier type on which the item is normally stored. The load carrier type entered here is used as a default when creating load carriers and can be changed there if necessary.

    Note

The lookup on this field opens the unified Package Types page (Yaveon 365 Library), filtered to records usable as a load carrier. See Package Types.

Using the field Qty. per Layer (Base) you can specify how many units of the base unit of this item are on a load carrier per layer. In combination with the field Layer Height (mm), the calculation of the load carrier height is possible.

Example based on the illustration: At goods receipt, 500 kg of the item are packed on a load carrier. With a quantity per layer (base) = 100, there are a total of 5 layers on the load carrier for a total quantity of 500 kg. Using the height per layer of 200mm, the total height of the load carrier is 1000mm. In addition (depending on the setup) the height of the load carrier itself can be added. Further information on this can be found in the chapter Load carrier.

    Note

The system rounds up the calculated number of layers, since even an incomplete occupancy of the top layer requires the full height of a layer.

    Note

These two fields can be overridden by the fields of the same name on the Units of Measure. The unit of measure code of the load carrier type is used to calculate the height. If the item to be separated has an item unit of measure code with the same name, the Qty. per Layer (Base) and the Layer Height (mm) of the unit of measure are used.

The Put-away group is used to control the put-away using item-related criteria. For more information, see Put-away zones.

When calculating the picking sequence, you can use the field Weighting Breakbulk to decide how to handle opened containers. For more information, refer to the chapter Pick order.
