Footer Elements
The footer in documents offers the possibility to display business data such as contact, tax or bank information. Depending on the selected layout, the footer can be structured differently. The data for the footer can be pulled together from various sources in the system. An extension with the help of variables is also possible.
Footer structures in standard layouts
Corporate Design comes with several standard layouts (Corporate Design Layouts). These contain two different types of footer structures.
Standard footer
The footer shown here contains four columns, each with the text starting flush left. This design is set as default in all CD layouts, except for SYS_FOURCFNOEMAIL and SYS_FOURCOLFOOTER.

In the footer area, the data is output in order from top left to bottom right, divided into several columns. Depending on the document layout used, there is a column with address data on the left, plus 3 additional columns:
| Column 1 Label | Column 1 Data | ... | Column 2 Label | Column 2 Data | ... | Column 3 Label | Column 3 Data | ... | Column 4 Label | Column 4 Data |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | ... | 6 | 6 | ... | 11 | 11 | ... | 16 | 16 |
| 2 | 2 | ... | 7 | 7 | ... | 12 | 12 | ... | 17 | 17 |
| 3 | 3 | ... | 8 | 8 | ... | 13 | 13 | ... | 18 | 18 |
| 4 | 4 | ... | 9 | 9 | ... | 14 | 14 | ... | 19 | 19 |
| 5 | 5 | ... | 10 | 10 | ... | 15 | 15 | ... | 20 | 20 |
A more detailed description of how positions and sorting are used can be found in the CD Field Configurator help.
Centered footer
In the two CD layouts SYS_FOURCFNOEMAIL and SYS_FOURCOLFOOTER the text of the footer is centered within the four columns.
Additionally it is possible to control the height of the footer for those two CD layouts. For this, an additional setup in the ProBatch 365 Base Corporate Design Documents Setup is necessary. Under the Report Print Details, the Footer height - maximum number of lines field must be adjusted. The field controls the desired number of lines to be printed below each other in the footer.
In this example, the value 5 has been entered because a total of five lines are to be printed below each other in the third and fourth columns.

The output of the data works as described in the section Standard Footer.
Data sources in standard footer
In the course of the Corporate Design initialization, a standard footer is set up. This obtains its data from various sources within the system.
The CD Field Configurator controls the Position within the footer where a date is printed.
Company data and Responsibility Centers
The address and contact data are taken from the Company Information table. If a Responsibility Center is maintained for the document, this data is used instead of the company information.

VAT Registration No.
The VAT Registration No. is also taken from the Company Information table. There the VAT ID can be set up in the tab general. Via a setup in the CD Field Configurator the VAT ID can be replaced by the Company VAT Registration No. in the document.
Note
The Company VAT Registration No. field and related functionality is only available with the ProBatch 365 Sales and Purchase App.

Bank Accounts
The Bank Accounts are maintained in the table of the same name in Business Central. From there they can be transferred to the footer. The corresponding setup can be found under Print Bank Accounts.

Extensions with variables
In Corporate Design it is possible to add data elements to each area, which do not exist directly as a record in the system. For example, in the default footer, the title and name of the CEO were added.

How to create such an extension with variables is described here: Extension with Variables.
